Leaders and volunteers who have contributed to the success of the college sector were honoured at the 2008 Colleges Ontario Awards luncheon on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
"We salute all the award winners for their commitment to excellence and contribution to the success of Ontario's colleges," said Linda Franklin, president and CEO of Colleges Ontario. "Their enthusiastic efforts and achievements are an inspiration and exemplify the important role volunteers and community organizations play in supporting students and college programs and services."

Presented annually, the Ontario Premier's Awards for College Graduates acknowledge six outstanding graduates from the following six categories: Business, Community Services, Creative Arts and Design, Health Sciences, Technology and a Recent Graduate. Chosen from nominations submitted by Ontario's 24 colleges, nominees demonstrate outstanding career success related to their college experience and have made a significant contribution to their community.
